CASPer Test Dates 2026: Full Schedule for US, Canada, UK & Australia

CASPer test dates 2026 for medical, dental, pharmacy and nursing applicants — US, Canadian, UK and Australian schedules with registration deadlines.

TL;DR: CASPer is offered roughly monthly during admissions season. Register at least 3 days before your chosen sitting. Scores stay valid for one full admissions cycle. Canadian, US, UK and Australian dates differ — pick the country list that matches the schools you're applying to.

How CASPer test dates work

CASPer is administered by Acuity Insights and runs on fixed sittings, not on demand. You pick one date per cycle, and your score is valid only for that admissions year. If you re-apply the next cycle, you re-take CASPer.

There are multiple sittings per month during the busy admissions window (June through January for most med-school cycles). Outside that window, sittings are sparser.

  • Each sitting is a fixed start time in your local timezone.
  • You choose your sitting at registration — not on test day.
  • Late registration closes 3 days before the test.
  • Re-scheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before, subject to availability.

The exact dates change each year. Below is the schedule structure for the 2025/2026 admissions cycle. Always confirm against acuityinsights.app before paying.

CASPer test dates 2026 — Canada

Canada is the biggest CASPer market. Most Canadian medical, dental and pharmacy schools require CASPer, including U of T, McMaster, U of A, U of C, Dalhousie, U of S, U of M and Memorial.

The Canadian cycle runs June through February, with peak sittings in July, August, September and October. If you're applying to OMSAS (Ontario), the recommended sitting window is September to November — earlier sittings sometimes have fewer applicants and can give faster score reporting.

CASPer test dates 2026 — United States

The US cycle is more spread out because programs require CASPer at different points in their admissions calendar. Most allopathic (MD) programs are AMCAS-based and tend to require CASPer between June and December. DO programs (AACOMAS) have a similar window.

  • For AMCAS June-July primaries: take CASPer in May or early June.
  • For AACOMAS: most students take CASPer in June-August.
  • For TMDSAS (Texas): a separate calendar — confirm directly with TMDSAS.
  • For nursing, pharmacy, PA programs: dates depend on program — typically July through December.

Sittings run roughly weekly during the peak window (May-September) and reduce to bi-weekly or monthly the rest of the year.

CASPer test dates 2026 — United Kingdom & Australia

UK applicants: CASPer is required by a small but growing number of UK medical schools and increasingly by international medical applications. Sittings are limited compared to North America. Plan early — there are typically 1-3 sittings per month from July through December.

Australian applicants: CASPer is required by USyd (USyd MD program) and is being adopted by other Australian medical, dental and pharmacy programs. Most Australian sittings are scheduled between February and June to align with the southern hemisphere admissions calendar. Some Northern Hemisphere sittings (June-September) are also accepted by Australian programs.

Tip for AU/UK applicants: book the earliest valid sitting in your cycle. Late-cycle scores sometimes don't reach all schools in time.

How to register (and how early)

Register through Acuity Insights' applicant portal. Registration opens roughly 4 months before each sitting and closes 3 days before. Same-day registration is not possible.

  1. Create your applicant account.
  2. Pay the test + score-distribution fees (varies by region — typically USD $40-90 + $15-20 per school).
  3. Pick your sitting from the calendar.
  4. Complete identity verification 24 hours before the test.
  5. System check 1 hour before — webcam, mic, browser.

Don't leave registration to the last week. Popular sittings fill up, and if you mis-time identity verification, you'll be re-scheduled at the next available slot — sometimes weeks away.

What if you miss your date?

If you miss your scheduled sitting, you have two options:

  • Re-schedule before the cutoff (24h before): typically free or for a small admin fee.
  • Forfeit and re-register: if you miss the cutoff or the test itself, your fee is forfeited and you re-pay for a new sitting.

If you re-schedule because of a documented emergency (medical, family, technical), Acuity will sometimes waive the re-fee — but you must contact support within 48 hours of the missed sitting.

If you can't re-take in time for your application deadline, contact your target schools directly. Some accept late CASPer scores; many do not.

Frequently asked questions

How many CASPer test dates are there per year?

Roughly 30-50 sittings per year for North America, with peak monthly cadence between June and November. UK and Australian sittings are sparser — typically 1-3 per month during their cycle.

Can I take CASPer multiple times in one cycle?

No. Each admissions cycle, you take CASPer once. The score from that single sitting is sent to all the schools you select. To re-take, you must wait for the next admissions cycle.

How early should I register?

At least two weeks before your chosen sitting. Popular slots — typically Saturday and Sunday afternoons — fill quickly during peak season.

Are CASPer scores valid for more than one cycle?

No. Scores expire at the end of the admissions cycle they were taken in. If you re-apply next year, you re-take CASPer.
